This fabulous lot of 3 Chinese blue and white porcelain snuff bottles includes:
- A double gourd form underglaze blue and white decorated porcelain snuff bottle set on a small wood stand.
The bottle, decorated in the style of Ming dynasty blue and white has a lotus with foliate motif to the lower bulb with foliate lappets to the upper section. A brass ring with spiral fluting is fitted to the mid section where a short rope affixed to the metallic stopper.
A single calligraphic mark in underglaze blue to the underfoot.

- A fabulously decorated blue and white porcelain snuff bottle of baluster form. The bottle is decorated with 3 fabulous, serpentine 5 claw dragons flying amongst the clouds in search of the flaming pearl of wisdom.
An apocryphal underglaze blue 6 character Qing dyn., Yongzheng reign mark can be seen underfoot but not of the period, made later during the Qing Dynasty.

* Note Snuff bottles became popular in China during the Qianlong reign, Qianlong's reign was after his predecessor Yongzheng and therefore the bottle bears an apocryphal reign mark and likely dates to the later Qing dynasty.
- Lastly, the third snuff bottle is also underglaze blue and white decorated. The bottle stands on a circular foot ring with a cylindrical body. The body is decorated with lush floral and foliate motifs.

Condition: The double gourd bottle has a cap but no spoon, the baluster bottle has a chipped cap, and broken spoon which is concealed within and doesn't detract from the bottle. The reign mark underfoot has a stain overtop which can be seen in the lot images. The third bottle has a carved stone cap that is slightly larger than the mouth. Overall a lovely lot of nicely presented snuff bottles.
