A Jar of Honey from Mount Hybla is an 1848 book by Leigh Hunt, published in London by Smith, Elder, and Co.. It is a collection of essays and stories exploring the pastoral poetry, history, and legends of Sicily, illustrated with wood engravings by Richard Doyle and designed by Owen Jones.
The book with later cover, blue leather, fabric panels, gilt decorations, marbled boards, illustrated in black and white, gilt margins, 200 pages.
Dimensions: 5 3/4" x 8 3/4" x 3/4"
Condition: re-bound in the past, wear to spine, top and bottom spine, bumped and dulled corners, faded spine, very faint yellowing around the perimeter of pages. Book interior is clean, book is tight and square.
