Item Description
Lebadang was a Vietnamese-born French artist well known for his partially abstracted, textural mixed-media paintings and prints on media including molded pasteboard, pigment on burlap or canvas surfaces, limestone, and various types of paper.
The current work is on a textural paper with vail like overlaid paper lending depth and texture which presents fabulously. The underwater landscape features a fish swimming in the upper left corner with other sea life imagery in polychrome colors.
The work is pencil signed, stamped with a seal mark and numbered '143 / 250'.
Presented matted and within a brass finished frame and glazed.

Condition: Good overall the wear to the paper appears to be the way it is made. Overall the print presents fantastically with bright color and imagery.
t is a numbered and signed lithograph with the authenticity stamp as well as a small bio about him on the back. Hoi was a Born in 1921 in Vietnam, but moved to France to study. In the 1950’s he was recognized by the Paris art community and became well known. He received many awards and accommodations and his work is in private as well as public collections even to this day. He used his success to rebuild his devastated village in Vietnam and was honored by his home country with a Lebadang foundation and museum
