Late 19th-20th Century large selection of [17] total prints & engravings includes the following:
(4) photomechanical prints including: George Federico Watts “Hope”, “Life’s Illusions”, & “Love and Life”; Henry Holiday “Dante and Beatrice”.
(1) framed etching of “Paris La rue St. Julien le Pauvre”
(1) Howard Chandler Christy, “Reverie”, from “Our Girls. Poems in Praise of the American Girl” published in New York, Moffat, Yard and Company, 1907.
(3) Illman Brothers, engravings of “Godey’s Lady’s Book”, includes cover from 1861, a page depicts three tiers of winter scenes framed with holly, and the last page depicts ‘The Nativity,’ along four scenes within a chapel. Engraved and printed by Illman brothers below image near center. Presented in sleeves.
(2) Colored engravings including a horizontal composition featuring a street performer with his trained monkey and poodle in an alley sharing wine, Slovakian text underneath image and mat. After Paulus Potter (Dutch, 1625-1654) “The Young Bull”, featuring a bull with other livestock along grass with a tree and man standing behind looking over at the bull. German text underneath beneath mat. Printed text el verso.
(3) Engravings published by John Tallis & Company. “Holy Eyes” after painting by I.G. Middleton, engraved by F. Holl; “The Irish Girl” after painting by A. Elmore, engraved by E. Finden, “Young Jessica” after painting by E.M. Ward, engraved by E. Finden.
(3) Colored engravings depicting French 19th Century fashion amongst men and women laid on paper, beneath mats.

Condition: In overall good condition from fair to good with expected signs of age and wear including toning, some bent corners, foxing particularly to Godey’s Book pages, spotting, and some minor pencil writing el verso. But otherwise in good condition. Unframed.
