Item Description
Itzchak Tarkay was a well known Israeli artist, with a focus on painting and print making.
Tarkay was born in Serbia in 1935 and died in Michigan, USA in 2012.
The current work is a limited edition, pencil signed and numbered, serigraph on paper. The work depicts four figures, women, seated in what appears to be a restaurant. Two of the women are seated at a bistro style table with a kettle and teacup, together with a vase and floral bouquet on the well decorated tablecloth. Adjacent are two more women, both well dressed depicted seated in chairs appearing to lounge the day away. A balcony with wrought iron gate can be seen in the background and opens to the outside world.
Tarkay has paid close attention to the color scheme of the work which although figural has a fabulous way of distributing color into fields for a marvelous overall appearance.

The work is pencil signed and numbered out of plate. Pencil signed to the lower right and pencil numbered in the lower left '182 / 350'
Presented matted, inside a fabulous gilt frame and glazed to protect.
