Item Description
A great Historical Yachting Trophy Bowl once given as first prize in a “Thistle Class” race in Larchmont, New York in 1948. There is a sterling plaque ( marked “Sterling”) with the year and information relating to the event affixed to the bowl front. Probable sterling ring base holds a sectioned Mid-Century Honey-Toned wood bowl.
Condition: The bowl, with a great deep honey age patina, bears acceptable and enhancing signs of age including some very slight dings and rubs. The overall presentation is just great.
The bowl measures 11.25” diameter by 4.75” high.
