Kikumaro Negishi (Japanese, a. 1925) duo of woodblock prints depicting Izukura-Kyoto dolls for Boys' Day. The first doll stands with a staff in his hand, wearing a colorful black and red checkerboard outfit with striped blue and yellow sides. The second doll sits in front of a black box, wearing a hat and a blue wave patterned outfit. Plate signature seen lower right on both.
Both are displayed nicely matted in ebonized and parcel gilt frames with bracketed corners.
