Julius Moser (German, B. 1805-1879) watercolor on paper depicting a reclining boy with fur shorts and a gourd canteen, sitting on a caveside rock under the shade of fig leaves. He rests on a red cloth with his hat at his feet, while his dog looks on beside him, one par on his knee. Goats can be seen in the background, with blue mountain silhouettes contrasting the warm tones of the foreground. Displayed behind glass with tiered green and blue mats outlined with a gilt border, mounted with an artist plaque at the bottom reading "Julius Moser, XIX Century" with a gilt fluted frame.
