John Stobart (British, 1929-2003) "Chattanooga: Unloading Flatboats on the Tennessee River in 1848" lithograph depicting a group of figures and mule-drawn carts at the bank of the water. A large steamboat sails past them towards a forested mountainous landscape under a vast blue and pale purple clouded sky. Pencil signed and numbered 145/950 lower right. Print above the image reads "published by Maritime Heritage Prints, in a limited signed edition of 950 (35 remarqued) from the original painting. Print copyright 1992." Displayed behind glass with tiered cream, mauve, and blue mats in a gilt frame with foliate relief.
Condition: Displays well with light wear to frame.
