Labeled on the verso "Mrs. E.H. Harriman," perhaps the American philanthropist and wife of railroad executive Edward Henry Harriman, Mary Williamson Averell Harriman (1851-1932).
Displayed with a linen liner in a gilt frame with a stipped inner border and an egg-and-dark outer border of relief.
