About the Artist:
James Baker Pyne was an English artist known for landscape painting. He was initially self-taught and attended sketching meetings at Bristol School. His earlier works were influenced by Francis Danby, while later he drew inspiration from William Turner. Pyne's two sons also became artists in their own right.
Condition
Toning and areas of discoloration to the painting commensurate with age and display, but still presents handsomely nonetheless.
