Item Description
This pencil signed and titled J. Alphege Brewer (British, 1881 - 1946) dry point etching titled, "Venice (Rio dei Greci)" presents a canal view with architecture on either side and a tall church spire in the background, rising high above the city sprawl. There is an arched bridge spanning the canal in the middle ground.
The work is pencil signed and titled out of plate and presented on a white mat and in a gilt frame and glazed.
Plate: 11 7/8"H x 5 3/4"W
Frame: 24 1/2"H x 18"W
Condition: Some browning to the paper, commensurate with age but overall the print is well preserved and well presented.
