Herend Hungary hand-painted porcelain covered bonbon dish, executed in the Rothschild Bird (RO) pattern. The oval form features a basket-weave relief ground, hand-painted with pairs of finely detailed songbirds perched on leafy branches, surrounded by vibrant butterflies in flight. The lid is topped with a sculpted rosebud finial, while the side handles are adorned with applied pastel roses and leaves. Rich 24k gold accents highlight the rim and edges. The underside bears the Herend blue shield hallmark with crossed paintbrushes, the inscription HANDPAINTED, and pattern and form numbers 6010/RO, confirming authenticity and model attribution.
