Item Description
Herend Hungary hand-painted porcelain covered bonbon dish (model 6181/V) in the Queen Victoria (VBO) pattern. The domed lid is decorated with a vibrant bouquet of peonies and foliage in multicolor hues of pink, blue, lavender, orange, and green. The lower body is adorned with butterflies and floral sprigs on a gleaming white porcelain ground. The box rests on three scroll feet accented with 24K gold trim, which is also seen along the rim and in the decorative flourishes framing the sides. Underside bears the blue Herend Hungary shield hallmark with crossed paintbrushes, HANDPAINTED inscription, and model number 6181/V
Dimensions: 5" H x 4 3/8" DIA
Condition: Very good overall condition. The paintwork remains bright and crisp, and the gilding is intact and luminous. There is a small area of minor wear or staining along the interior rim, consistent with gentle age and use. No chips, cracks, or restorations. The underside is clean and clearly marked with the full factory hallmark and impressed foot details. Expected faint wear to the unglazed footrim only.
