Fabulous Impressionist style oil on canvas painting depicting a village and it's reflection in the pond / lake to the near foreground.
A passage on the reverse regarding the artist reads:
"Helen Botway first studied painting at the Worcester Art School in Massachusetts, and later, after some work at Columbia University, continued her stuies at L'Ecole Fontainebleau in France.
Previous exhibitions of her colorful sunlit oils have appeared at the New York City Center Gallery. The National Arts Club, and at Southhampton's Parrish Museum. This year she won first award at the Westhampton art show.
Her impressionistic art shows the influence of her residence in Mediterranian countries as well as in the Hamptons along our own Atlantic Coastline and her nostalgic concentration of "shore line" paintings on dunes, beaches and old boathouses have found great favor among art collectors."
