Hand-knotted wool Kazvin rug from Iran, circa 1925 featuring a navy blue pendant medallion rests on a rust field covered in a profusion of different flowering branches. Corner spandrels are a dense navy,coral and ivory floral motif. Main border have an unusual interlocking medallions which alternates in shades of green, Dutch blue, rust, pink, ivory and corals. Guard borders with flowers and meandering vine design. Full pile. Originally $6,500.
