Herend Hungary hand-painted porcelain oval serving dish featuring the Rothschild Bird (RO) pattern with applied floral handles and 24K gold trim. This elegant handled dish is crafted in Herend’s signature osier (basketweave) molded pattern, with scalloped edges and delicate green branch-form handles adorned with bud and leaf appliqués at each end. The dish is richly decorated with Herend’s iconic Rothschild Bird scene at center, depicting three finely detailed songbirds perched on leafy branches with necklace, surrounded by colorful butterflies, beetles, and insects—each one uniquely hand-painted in vivid enamel hues. The design is framed with a softly fluted interior and finished with a hand-applied gold rim. The underside bears the Herend Hungary blue shield hallmark with crossed paintbrushes, HANDPAINTED, and pattern number 1125/RO.

Condition: Excellent condition overall. The dish shows no chips, cracks, or restorations. The gilding remains bright and intact, and the hand-painted decoration is vivid and unmarred. The handles and applied floral elements are complete and undamaged. The glaze retains a beautiful sheen. Underside is clean and clearly marked with the Herend hallmark and pattern code. Light shelf wear to the unglazed base rim, consistent with gentle use and age.
