About the Artist:
Harold C. Wolcott was an American artist born in New York. Following his service in World War I, Wolcott earned his first position in the Arts as an advertising graphic artist. Wolcott went on to study at the prestigious Art Students' League in NY and later the National Academy of Design with guidance from Hans Hoffman. Wolcott notably served for more than a decade as the Art Director for the Hudson River Museum where in addition to creating art, he also gave back by teaching art classes.

Losses to the painted finish at the top center, lifting of canvas from board on right. Craquelure and additionally some splits to the frame. Despite wear presents well overall.
