Signed lower right and on verso with title. As the son of the noted painter Guy Carleton Wiggins, the artist forged a bright career in the family tradition. Views of New York City, especially in winter, are favorite subjects. This lovely view of Fifth Ave. with St. Patrick's on a winter's day is classic. It is seen at an angle with its shadow on the glass Olympic Tower at left. Saks Fifth Ave. with its green awning shaded display windows is at the right. American flags and one Irish flag accent the scene with their colors as they unfurl in the snow storm. Vintage yellow taxis and cars are driving on the avenue as pedestrians walk along the street.
