Item Description
Name lower left in plate. The piece was in the artist's own museum (now in the Ashmolean Museum, Oxford). The paper now pale tan in tone with a fold across the middle.
The tall carved marble multi-tiered candelabrum is decorated with classical figures including the goddess Minerva, elephant heads, sphinxes and garlands. Raised on a heavy tripod base with lion masks.

in a carved and silver gilt frame 37 1/4 x 23"
some wear to the frame but a nice old patina
