George Wright [English, 1860-1944] watercolor on paper, interior genre equestrian scene depicting a man grooming his horse while his faithful canine companion looks on with ease while leisurely laying in the hay. Signed in lower right. Paper appears cropped and mounted onto heavier stock paper before being matted and framed.
Examined out of frame, consistent with watercolor paint and techniques, signature appears unaltered. Paper appears cropped along edges and partially cropped the tail on the "G" and "T" in signature which is consistent in artist's other watercolors. Some toning to paper. Not entirely secure in frame due to examination.
