George van Raemdonck (Belgian, 1888 - 1966), oil on canvas, fabulous floral still life. A breathtaking floral painting featuring red, pink, and blue flowers in a glimmering vase. A student of Franz Courtens, Raemdonck was a renowned comic strip artist known for working on countless political cartoons and strip series' during the first half of the 20th century. Signed by artist in lower right. Painting comes perfectly presented in an elaborate wood carved gilded frame.

Condition: Light nicking and scratching to wood frame. Felt matte border around canvas in good shape with no major wear. Canvas in mostly good condition, with a few areas of visible paint cracking. Flower petals of composition are nicely textured and accented. May be a few light paint scuffs to canvas around the outer edges. Painting itself is gorgeous and full of aesthetic appeal. Highly presentable image in a gorgeous gold painted frame!
