A George IV Mahogany library chair with rectangular tufted back, outscrolled arms and seat covered in scarlet leather, the scrolling arm terminals carved with acanthus on baluster-turned tapering legs with brass casters, circa 1825.
Provenance - Christie's Auction House, Apr. 21, 1995, Lot 114, purchased for $1955. Sticker on leg as shown.
Dimension: 31" D, 31 1/2" W, 44" H and 15 1/2" seat height.
Condition: heavy losses and wear to both arms, scratches to feet, wear consistent with age and use.
