George III Pierced back elm wood armchair circa 1800 featuring pierced vasiform splat back, slender arm rests with sloped arm rest supports on square tapered front legs with square stretchers and slightly splayed back legs. Wonderful patina which highlights the beautiful grain of the elm wood. Original purchase price was $340 GBP in 1986 in Oxford, England from Peter Bell Antiques.
