George II oak chest of five drawers circa 1750 with yew-wood cross banding to top and on each drawer with brass swan neck handles added later. Bracket feet with hand hewn blocking for support. Note the beautiful deep patina from wax finish. Unusually heavy chest for the period. Original purchase price $460 GBP from Peter Bell, London, England in 1981.
