A wonderful George Brown (American [Bristol, CT], a. 1845-1868) clock showcasing a beautiful ogee mahogany veneered rectangular case with beautifully figured wood grain in a rich orange-brown finish. the white dial is hand-painted with black Roman numerals surrounded by green vining foliage. The glass panel below the dial is reverse painted black with an eagle surrounded by stars and florals. Manufacturer's paper label within the case behind the pendulum.
