This fun and artistic work is comprised of painted wood board with parcel painted and pierced, wrought iron which has been affixed to the board with screws. The wrought iron has been cut, pierced and conformed into the form of a two handled and footed vase with a lovely bouquet of flowers issuing forth. The vase and flowers all likely reclaimed wrought iron. The vase which was likely something before it was conformed into a vase had been painted with a lovely shade of blue that appears to be wearing off in places revealing the slightly rusty patina underneath. The flowers which are affixed to the board underneath the wonderful scalloped rim of the vase are of all different forms, some with more openwork than others. The flowers have no color applied displaying the aged and rusting wrought iron.
The wrought iron vase and flowers are affixed to a rectangular board which has been painted white with a light shade of blue trim around the border. The reverse is unpainted.

Condition: While there is wear to the wrought iron it does not detract from the rustic overall appearance. There are some stained spots and paint losses and chips to the back board which could likely be rejuvinated with a touch of white paint to the spots most in need. This is a wonderful artistic item that finds its charm in the rustic elements.
