Frank Gardner (American, b. 1963) was born and raised in New York state and is currently active in San Miguel de Allende, Mexico. As an artist, Gardner trained at Rhode Island School of Design, where he earned his BFA in painting in 1986. "Gardner’s painting style is a combination of contemporary impressionism and representational art." Gardner's works are held by numerous fine art galleries throughout the United States as well as Mexico.
The current oil on board painting depicts an street scene of Provincetown, MA with view of an open air street with buildings and signs lining both sides and figures on foot and bicycle in view. A shop in the near ground features a yellow sign which reads Burger Queen, hung on a red sign post.
Signed lower right and titled, signed and dated on verso.
