A fabulous set of four Chinese dining chairs in the form of Ming style official's chairs, crafted with high quality, elegant dark brown finishes. The chairs feature strong, simple profiles with elegant details making for impactful designs, incorporating gently rounded and arched top rails with subtly flared ears, echoing the serpentine curve of rectangular splats detailed with carved Shou longevity symbols. Square seats with recessed centers are topped with pale blue cushions and are raised on simple cylindrical legs surrounded by scalloped aprons that extend down the sides. Finished with box stretchers including stout foot rails along the fronts.
