A fine collection of three Quimper polychrome finished ceramic dishes of varied size and form.
The lot includes:
- An arched shaped serving dish with a fabulous figural scene with a Breton woman depicted dancing with two Breton men, all in traditional attire. The dancers are depicted in a landscape with cottage in the background.
Marked underfoot PB Penhaus in underglaze blue.
12 1/4"W x 7 1/2"H
- Together with an armorial, shaped circular dish with starburst form rim. The magnificently formed rim with a yellow band enclosing a fabulous green scrolled border motif with a reserve featuring a coat of arms with crown above. The central panel decorated with a traditional Breton woman leaned up against a wooden rail in a field with lavenders.
Marked to the center panel HR Quimper and also marked HR Quimper underfoot in underglaze blue.

- Together with an HB Quimper polychrome finished ceramic dish with wonderfully scalloped rim coated in yellow glaze. There is a fabulous scrolling foliate band in blue to the border with the interior bordered by a yellow band.
The interior with a traditional Breton figure in plad pants and clogs with a wide brimmed hat playing a horn instrument in the landscape.
Marked HB Quimper underfoot.

Disclaimer: All Quimper and Porquier Beau lots have wear and minor losses with glaze imperfections commensurate with age and handling. Look through the lot images carefully, these lots are being sold in As Is condition.
Condition: The arched dish with wear to the trim edges with nics and wear and losses to the glaze.
The starburst formed dish with a minor chip to the underside of the rim which may have been original to firing. Additionally there is wear to the finish and nics and rim frits all around. The scalloped dish with a chip to the underside of the rim and other nics and losses to the glaze. The border displays wear to the glazed finish with pock marked spotting. Despite wear commensurate with age and handling the dishes all present nicely.
