Fantastic 19th C. Japanese Sage-Dansu black lacquer small cabinet. Exquisite cabinet, top and sides with gilt and mother-of-pearl decoration depicting koi and flying birds. Over two hinged doors with panels decorated with gilt and mother-of-pearl flora which open to reveal 8 drawers of varying size. Decorated with flying gilt cranes. With gilt rims and spatter to the interior. Over a rectangular base. With silvered copper mounts.
