Fagiuoli Ettore (Italian, 1884-1961) Pair of drypoint etchings depicting river views by Italian churches done in 1947. The print shown on the left, “IL Ponte Di Castelvecchio in Verona” depicts the Castelvecchio Bridge in Verona, northern Italy. Intricately detailed with its architecture, bridge, and boats being the main focus. Fun detailing for the clouds. Artist’s name and date is signed on the plate but disguised on one of the structures bottom right. Photographed on the right, “Verona - San Giorgio E Le Case Di Sant’ Alessio” (Verona, San Giorgio and the houses of Sant' Alessio). Both are titled bottom left. The grand cityscape is captured here with the cathedral in the distance. Villagers line along the river view which includes an artist and his easel. Signed and dated bottom right of plate. Very detailed and well executed compositions. Framed in matching handsome distressed frames beneath glass that compliment the subject matter well.
Condition: In good overall condition with expected signs of age and use. With minor marks along frame. Weathered paper but does not affect overall imagery.
