Fabulous set of two signed Emile Picault (French, 1839-1915) patinated bronze figures in classical robes with fabulously cast drapery and other intricate detailed craftsmanship.
The figural table lamps boast large Picault signed female bronze figures with slightly varied attire. Both figures rest comfortably on their bare feet, standing on a circular base. Picault has engraved signed the bases which themselves are affixed to intricate wood, stone and gilt finished bronze bases which stand on four marvelously cast winged paw form feet.
The wonderfully patinated figures are presented holding the candelabrum above their heads with four candlestick nozzles flank off. Rising further is a brass nozzle where a light bulb can be inserted which itself is disguised by the lamp shade.
Overall the lamps and bronze figural sections present exceptionally well.
Dimensions: 36 1/2"H x 18"Diam. - total, on base with shade.
Condition: Light surface wear to the bronze patina which is negligible as wear seems to only enhance the antique nature of these fabulous table lamps. The shades have light wear but could be replaced if desired, although they are in overall good form and altogether presents very well.
