An exquisite antique Italian Crown Naples Capodimonte two handled, footed and lidded porcelain casket.
Oval form with two fabulously potted and hand decorated polychrome finished scroll form handles which raise the casket on two ends with polychrome floral, moulded feet provide raised support. The oval body decorated with fabulously moulded and polychrome finished putti in the landscape in high relief.
The oval lid with moulded, beaded polychrome faux jeweled trim with an interior reserve depicting 4 moulded and polychrome decorated putti wrestling with a dog in the landscape with imagery of the sky and clouds surrounding.
Marked underfoot to one end foot.
Ca. 19th century.
Condition: The two handled lidded casket presents very well, minor chips and wear to the polychrome finish can be seen with minor hair lines to the interior. Despite wear the casket presents very well overall.
