Exquisite Chinese carved food picnic baskets, set of two include a three-tiered carved brass bamboo basket weaved exterior along the base and fortified with a stained bamboo trim carved with a fret border and decorated with pierced brass hardware and rosettes along handle which features a lock that a key is balanced which once pulled out, a rod must be taken out to take the tiered divided baskets out. Paired with a miniature wooden three tiered octagonal basket that is decorated with composite hand painted with floral and calligraphic scenes 360 degrees around. The lid features a pair of children sharing food together.
Condition: In overall good condition with expected signs of surface and interior wear and cracks, slight separation between handle and tiers in smallest basket, but still sturdy and well intact. Nothing too severe that detracts from their quality. Please refer to photography.
