The exceptional Crown Naples Capodimonte hinged, shaped porcelain casket. The shaped form is surmounted by the wonderfully crafted lid with gilt finished mounts. The lid with a central mythological themed figural motif, depicting a winged figure in fabulously modeled robe seen in relief. The winged figure can be seen sketching an architectural landscape. The figure has a horn laid down in front with naturalistic landscape decor with four winged putti in the sky holding both a draped curtain on the right hand side with the other two holding a floral swag in the sky above.

Marked underfoot.
Condition: When opening the hinged lid, be cautious as the hinged back will not support the top on its own. There is gentle wear to the finish. Minor nics around the trim with wear to the gilt finished mounts. Wear is commensurate with age and handling but despite wear the casket presents well.
