A particularly notable long antique Hunt Board, likely late 18th/Early 19th Century. With stately Georgian and William and Mary influence, well crafted with a warm-toned medium brown wood having desirable graining. The long rectangular top features a raised back three-quarter gallery with slanted cut (The Board once had a top shelving to hold plates) while the front sports four upper dovetail constructed drawers and two lower drawers all adorned with double brass loop handles on rosette plaques. Double arched panels along the center. Raised on nicely turned front legs over a thick open lower shelf with incised rectangular panels.

Dimensions: 87.75” wide by 17.85” deep by 37.5” high.

Condition: Please see detail photos. There are many and various signs of age and use including Ring and other stains, burns, notable checking, and some finish wear to the top, with a well-worn gouge to the left side of the raised gallery along the back, drawers with time softened interior wear and a wood loss to the left edge of the second drawer from the right (See photo). Lacking a key and the lower right drawer is missing its lock, and one drawer has a lock, the other escutcheons are decorative with no locks.
