Collection of ephemera related to the professional journalist careers of David G. Baillie Senior (Scottish-American, 1866-1937) and his son Hugh Baillie (American, 1890-1966). David G. Baillie Senior worked as a Scottish and American journalist, and as a literary secretary to Andrew Carnegie. Hugh Baillie worked at the Los Angeles Herald and as the president of the United Press Associations.
The collection includes a variety of newspapers, letters in stamped envelopes, and Editor & Publisher magazines. Includes a pamphlet from the United Press, "A Memo on Two of the Big News Stories of 1946," which features the "Lifting of the Press Ban at the Nuernberg Executions" and "Josef V. Stalin's Answers to Hugh Baillie's 31 Questions."
Condition: Pieces display well with expected wear commensurate with age. Paper toning, wrinkling, folds and minor tears.
