Edwin Howland Blashfield (American, 1848-1936) "Columbia gives to Her Son" lithograph depicting a woman in a long white gown dubbing a kneeling soldier with a rapier in one hand, raising a document in her other. The figures stand against a background with a large flowing American flag flanked by column-like forms. Plate signature lower right. Displayed behind glass with tiered desaturated olive and white mats in a metallic gray frame with coppertone rosettes at the corners.
