About the Artist:
Edna Hibel Plotkin was an American artist born to Jewish immigrants from Poland. She began painting at a young age and graduated from the Boston Museum School of Fine Arts before studying in Mexico on a fellowship. The Hibel Museum of Art was opened in 1977 and held Hibel's personal art library alongside traveling exhibitions and educational programs until 2015.
Condition
Small pin holes to the trim on either end. The frame has breaks, and the openwork on one side needs to be secured. Losses to the gesso and gilt finish.
