Early 19th Century style burled & inlaid mahogany keyhole desk featuring a rectangular overall inlaid tabletop framing the burled center, with a scalloped edge and serpentine front. Leading to a slide out butler's desk lined with red toned leather and gilt trim. Above a central drawer. Twisted trim and inlaid burled center continues along the sides and interiors of the keyhole. Flanked by drawers with goldtoned escutcheons and handle pulls. Revealing unfinished interiors. Resting above on squared tapered legs with spade feet for a complete elegant finish.
Additional hardware and bent key included in drawer.
Condition: Possible restoration project. With expected signs of age and wear including checking & peeling of veneer. General surface marks and losses. Tarnish to hardware and some detached areas. Please review photography. Does not detract from the overall appearance or potential of this fabulous piece.
