Item Description
Eames 2nd generation 1960"s fiberglass shell chair. Featuring a fiberglass parchment color shell mounted on what are possibly original shock mounts and raised on a stacking base. With the embossed Herman Miller logo to underside. A classic chair and a favorite of collectors, this chair was designed by Charles and Ray Eames for the ‘International Competition for Low-Cost Furniture Design', sponsored by the Museum of Modern Art.
Condition: Expected signs of wear for age including staining to fiberglass, base appears to have been painted, one glide is detached; none of which detract from the aesthetic of this classic piece of mid century modern history.
The chair measures: 31 1/2"h x 21 3/4"w x 19"d seat height 17 1/4"
