Dominique Dorié was born in Versailles in 1958. Dorie was exposed to world class art from a young age and by 16 years of age, he began working for the Louvre Museum in Paris within a conservation capacity as a restorer of sculpture.
Spending his early life working with art so closely, he began to sketch and ultimately paint.
The current work is titled "Nature Fauve" on reverse and depicts a sensationally painted landscape in a style resembling Impressionism. The painting appears as if painted en plein air and depicts rolling fields of glistening ground cover with a windy dirt path leading through the landscape. With fabulously painted trees with vivid greenery the painting is fantastic in every way.
Signed in the lower right corner and titled on the reverse.
Presented in a brass finished frame which enhances the golden colored landscape.

Condition: The canvas has a little slack to it and could stand to be tightened on the stretcher but it is not necessary and presents marvelously and is most certainly wall ready.
