Richard "Dik" Arthur Allan Browne (American, 1917-1989) "Hagar the Horrible" lithographic comic composed of two panels. The first panel depicts a viking near a sinking ship, asking "Why Me?!" The second panel depicts a disembodied voice from the sky replying "Why Not?" Plate signed lower right of the second panel. Pencil signed by the artist's son, Christopher "Chris" Kelly Browne (American, 1952-2023) with a small drawing, numbered 226/450 lower left. Displayed without glass, with a black and white banded mat in a metallic black frame.
Condition: The comic displays well with minor paper toning and small spots of foxing. Notable discoloration to the white mat, including pink water staining along the right corners. Light wear to the frame.
