David P.H. Wong (Chinese, b.1949) framed mixed media work on paper depicts a horizontally oriented scene of a pair of birds crouched on branches angrily facing one another. It’s a dynamic scene with the bamboo and shrubbery of the forest coming through the paper on to the black mat supporting it in a ornate gold finish frame, and beneath glass. The splattered paint speaks to the intensity between the pair of birds. Signed in paint and stamped bottom right. Artist bio en verso.
Condition: In good condition with expected signs of age and use. Minor loss around corners of frame but does not detract from overall aesthetic.
