Currier & Ives (American [NY], active 1835-1907) "American Homestead Winter" lithograph depicting a quaint double-chimney house in pale yellow with green shutters across from a barn with cows, ducks, and chickens. Figures are seen around the buildings, as a pair in a two-horse sleigh moves across a snowy path past a man carrying firewood, accompanied by his dog. Printed text below the image reads "Published by Currier & Ives; Entered according to act of congress in the year 1868 by Currier & Ives in the clerk's office of the District Court of the U.S. for the Southern District of New York; 152 Nassau St. New York" with the title in block letters below. Displayed behind glass in a deeply beveled gilt frame.
Condition: Displays well with expected wear commensurate with age. Paper toning and minor discoloration around the edges; scuffs and nicks to frame with minor gilt wear that does not significantly detract from appearance.
