Tony Sarg, born Anthony Frederick Sarg was a German American illustrator and puppeteer.
Sarg had been described as "'America's Puppet Master', and in his biography as the father of modern puppetry in North America."
The collection includes a wonderful pencil on paper drawing of a mouse, signed lower left.
Presented matted within a red finished frame and glazed.
Bearing a note on verso which reads "Tony Sarg - 1938 At Renato's Restaurant Van Dam St. NYC"

Together with a print depicting a marionette jester along with a marionette dog with the wording "TONY SARC / MARIONETTES" marked ALEXANDER DOLL COMPANY, N.Y.
The print is presented in a black frame and glazed.

Condition: Heavy wear and water damage to the print with marionettes and some toning to the paper with the drawing of a mouse. Wear mostly commensurate with age and use along with some water damage.
