Includes a fabulous Sung Dynasty style, Jun Yao / Ware glazed peach form bowl. The fabulous Jun glaze first seen in the Yuan and Sung dynastic periods features a sublime blue glaze with purple iridescent splashes for a fabulous presentation.
The glaze coated a stoneware body has been formed in the shape of a Peach which in Chinese mythology represents long life, longevity and ultimately Immortality.
The bowl stands on a circular door with small handle in the back where the stem would be and a lip to the other end.
1 3/4”H x 5 1/4”Diam.
Together with a Chinese porcelain tea bowl. In Wucai / export Imari pattern the Chinese porcelain tea bowl features both underglaze cobalt blue and over glaze enamels in Iron red, green and gilt finished. Foliate decorated reserves on an Iron red ground to the outer body and foliate decoration to the interior with gilt highlights and a diapered pattern to the interior rim.
Underfoot is a 6 character apocryphal Ming Dynasty, Wan Li (1573 - 1619reign mark but not of the period, likely Qing or later.
Condition: a very minor rim chip to the foot ring of the porcelain cup which is minor and does not effect the cup and the Jun Yao bowl is in good form and both present nicely.
