Comprised of a letter from the State of Connecticut, Executive Department, A letter from the Navy Department dated January 22, 1864, Charles Sumner (1811-74) Republican U.S. Senator - 1851-74, signature, A Democratic Ticket for President Winfield Scott Hancock with Vice Presidential candidate William H. English, and John G. Nicolay's signature. John G. Nicolay (1832-1901) private secretary to President Abraham Lincoln; U.S. Consul at Paris, France (1865-1869) and Horace Greeley (1811-1872) letter. Greeley was an American journalist and founder of the New York Tribune which advocated abolotion, and universal amnesty and suffrage.
