This wonderful collection of 14 assorted Bronze Judaica related medallions and commemorative plaques include:
- 2 bronze plaques with an image of a Rabbi blowing a Shofar in relief. The words "Happy New Year" is written in English and Hebrew and on the reverse is a wonderful image of a pomegranate with Hebrew lettering to the interior and below is written in English "Rosh Hashana" - 2 1/4"Diam.
- 2 Bronze circular plaques with Judaica iconography, one with what appears to be a ribbon draped over a citrus fruit growing on a tree and the second with two Shofars bordering an arched entrance way with Hebrew lettering in relief. 2 1/4"Diam.
- 1 unopened, still in it's plastic case, bronze circular plaque with the image of a man and woman in relief and the names "AVITAL - SHCHARANSKY - NATAN (ANATOLY) - ACT OF CONGRESS MAY 13, 1986" to one side and an image of the wailing wall on verso with the words "FREEDOM OF THOUGHT CONCIENCE, RELIGION...HELSINKI FINAL ACT" written around the border - 3"Diam.
- 1 commemorative bronze plaque with an image of "Molly Goldberg" on one side and a familial portrait in relief on verso, titled "The Goldbergs" - 1 7/8"W
- 1 bronze circular plaque commemorating the "Moscow Olympics 1980" with a figure performing gymnastics on rings to one side and the passage "All that is valuable in human society depends upon the opportunity for development accorded to the individual. - Albert Einstein" - 2"Diam.
- 2 Bronze and enamel "BOARD OF DIRECTORS / NEW YORK FEDERATION OF REFORM SYNAGOGUES / UAHC" commemorative plaques. - 3 1/4"Diam.
- 2 Israel State Plaques, including 2 bronze plaques, one a commemorative plaque with the words "THE SECOND WORLD CONFERENCE OF JEWISH COMMUNITIES ON SOVIET JEWRY BRUSSELS FEBRUARY 1976" to one side and the words "LET MY PEOPLE GO" on verso; the second with the wording "OUR FEET SHALL STAND WITHIN THY GATES OF JERUSALEM" and an image of "Gates of Jerusalem" on verso with a 8 point star in reserve to the center. - 2 1/4"Diam.
- 1 bronze commemorative circular plaque from "The Society of Medalists / Fifth Issue", The artistically created meal depicts a shirtless man from antiquity sowing seeds which he keeps in a satchel attached to his waist. "WHATSOEVER A MAN SOWETH" written above and image of wheat and a sickel with the words "THAT SHALL HE ALSO REAP" on verso. The circular medal comes in a fitted light blue cardboard case with a bronze finished metallic stand. -2 3/4"Diam.
- 1 fabulously decorative circular bronze meadallion with burled wood, hinged storage and display case. The medal reads "He called it the City of David" to one side and "Jerusalem City of David" written on verso with an image of Jerusalem and the number 3000 written to the center. - 2 3/4"Diam.
- Lastly with a larger bronze plaque or medallion with a figural face in relief to one side with the name "Anatoly Scharansky" to the front and an image of a man gazing upwards with stone walls around. The medallion presents fabulously with its dark patina. 4 1/8"Diam.
Condition: All with light wear but present fabulously.
